Description:
This course prepares individuals who have on-the-job project management experience to take the Project Management Professional (PMP®) examination administered by the Project Management Institute (PMI®). Year after year, the PMP® certification has garnered global recognition as the top project management certification available. A PMP® credential can open the door to exciting, high-visibility opportunities in a wide range of fields. The skills and knowledge gained in this course will help students avoid making costly mistakes on the exam.
The PMP® Exam is changing on Jan. 2, 2021, to reflect the fact that today’s project management practitioners work in a variety of project environments and utilize different project approaches. Accordingly, the PMP® certification will reflect this and incorporate approaches across the value delivery spectrum. The exam now will include 50% predictive project management approaches and 50% agile or hybrid approaches.
As such, the new PMP® Exam Prep course being offered through Extended Studies has been designed and authorized by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) to specifically teach the knowledge required to pass the PMP® exam moving forward. This is an intensive, boot camp-style course. A lot of material will be covered in a brief time, and students will have access to PMI® approved test-prep questions to help them prepare for the exam.
The course instructor is a certified PMP® who has been trained by PMI® to offer this exam prep course.
