Strategies for Understanding Financial Statements


Each day, supervisors make financial decisions critical to the success of their organizations — key decisions that require familiarity with the language of finance and accounting and basic financial reporting statements. With this course, you will develop skills to improve your bottom line and begin to build strategies for using financial information to support your proposals.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Gain a basic understanding of the language of finance and accounting
  • Develop the ability to make sound financial decisions
  • Examine techniques for using financial information to meet your goals

This course may be taken independently or applied toward a 10-course certificate in Human Resources Management or Supervisory Management offered through Extended Studies.
