Building on the concepts covered in the Excel Essentials course, this intermediate six-hour course will introduce using Names and using them in Functions such as the IF, SUMIF, SUMIFS, and VLOOKUP Functions. You'll also learn how to create pie, bar, column, XY and other charts in Excel to present your numeric data in a professional-looking and easy-to-read format. In addition, the course will cover sorting and filtering data and provide opportunities to work with large files and learn to freeze panes and using split windows.

Knowledge, skills and experience required for this course:

  • Comfort navigating Excel’s numerous tabs on the ribbon
  • Ability to complete basic tasks using commands and options including save, open, print, clipboard, alignment, number and editing groups on the home tab
  • Ability to create basic formulas including those that use common functions such as SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, MIN and MAX
  • Ability to navigate shortcut menus using the right-click on the mouse
  • Knowledge of how to use autofill
  • Thorough understanding of absolute and relative cell referencing
