This six-hour course is developed for both self-taught users and those looking to expand their knowledge and comfort using Excel®. Building on the essentials, you will learn to manage large lists of data, sorting lists by single columns or multiple criteria, and filtering to find specific records in the data. Charts speak volumes when summarizing data, and you will learn how to present your data using pie, column and charts. Using Defined Names, you’ll understand intermediate and advanced functions more easily, such as IF functions and VLOOKUP. Finally, you’ll discover how to use advanced conditional formatting to protect your data from being modified accidentally.

Pre-requisites: A general knowledge of Excel® that includes:
- Ability to complete basic tasks using commands and options including save, open, print, clipboard, alignment, number and editing groups on the home tab
- Navigating a workbook and edit existing data
- Ability to create basic formulas including common functions such as SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, MIN and MAX
- Ability to navigate shortcut menus using the right-click on the mouse
- Knowledge of how to use autofill
- Thorough understanding of absolute and relative cell referencing
