Writing Grants: An Overview


Discover and learn a reasonable and manageable approach to the grants-writing process for nonprofits and charities. In this hands-on course, you will learn how to compose and submit a competitive grant proposal to secure private foundation, corporate and public funds. You also will gain an understanding of how to research and identify funding sources and match them to funding needs.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the key components of a grant proposal
  • Develop skills and strategies for creating a competitive grant proposal
  • Learn how to research funding sources compatible with funding needs

This course may be taken independently or applied toward a 10-course certificate in Human Resources Management or Supervisory Management offered through Extended Studies.
