The 72nd Annual Congress of the International Institute of Public Finance: Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Public Policy
The International Institute of Public Finance (IIPF) is the world organization of public finance economists and has nearly 800 members from more than 50 countries. In an increasingly specialized academic field, the IIPF seeks to generate intellectual exchanges among public finance experts. The institute’s annual congress is the main forum for its activities, which include organizing academic events, promoting the exchange of knowledge among academics and practitioners of all nationalities and awarding prizes for outstanding academic achievements.
Conference sessions are held at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe. Your registration fee includes one reception, continental breakfast, lunch and two dinners.
To become a member, completion of the application for membership form (for individual members) is required. After sending the form, applicants will receive a confirmation email with instructions regarding payment of the corresponding membership fees. Authors of accepted papers must become members of the IIPF
A one-year IIPF membership costs 120 EUR, a three-year membership 180 EUR. Please note that the 20 EUR submission fee is creditable against an IIPF membership subscription. Besides lower congress registration fees IIPF members also profit from a subscription to the journal “International Tax and Public Finance”. - Congress (PhD) Student Member Regular registration (after June 3, 2016): $300
- Congress Accompanying Guest Early registration (through June 3, 2016): $200
- Congress Accompanying Guest Regular registration (after June 3, 2016): $300. Guest fee includes welcome reception, excursion and conference dinner on August 11, 2016.

Payment must be made in US dollars. Participant is responsible for any wire-transfer fees.
Host Hotels and Room Rates
The host hotels are Harvey’s and Harrah’s. Reservations must be made by July 8, 2016 to secure the conference rate. To book your hotel room online and receive the special conference room rate, go to Harvey’s or Harrah’s There may be an additional fee if you make hotel reservations via phone.
